What separates someone who successfully transitions from someone who doesn’t isn’t a technical background — it’s whether they’re willing to spend real time with:

• Command lines (Linux, and eventually networking device CLIs)
• Reading documentation that isn’t written for beginners
• Building small labs and breaking things on purpose

A realistic first 90 days

Don’t try to learn “cybersecurity” as one blob. Start with basic networking concepts, get comfortable in a Linux terminal, and pick ONE narrow area (e.g. network security, or web app security) to go deep on rather than skimming everything.

Cybersecurity rewards depth in something over shallow breadth in everything, especially early on.
