IPv6 hosts use Neighbor Discovery on the local link and route remote traffic through a gateway.
What is it?
IPv6 uses 128-bit hexadecimal addresses. Address notation can compress leading zeros and consecutive zero groups under specific rules. IPv6 introduces important behaviours such as link-local addressing and Neighbor Discovery.
